Boulder Royster Turquoise is well known for its beautiful blue turquoise nestled between the host rock is formation has been called 'Royston Ribbon' by its collectors. Located in Northeast Nevada, USA Boulder Roysten Mine was discovered in the 1970’s by a Shoshone Tribesman sheep herder who stumbled upon a vein of turquoise on the hillside while tending sheep. Because this mine is located in a remote area the weather conditions are harsh and make mining possible at certain times of the year. Royster Ribbon Turquoise is therefore limitedly available and highly prized.
