The Number 8 Mine located in Nevada, USA was finally closed in 1976 after 47 years of producing some of the worlds largest nuggests and most sought after Turquoise. Number 8 Stones are easily recognized by the golden brown to black spider web over its blue palette. The last owner Dowell Ward mined the Turquoise extensively and massed a large stockpile, as this final stockpile is depleted in todays market the rarity of the stone increases and make it highly valuable.
